Silence please

Outside Mr Hugh naps in the pram while bus brakes squeal and children yell in the park. Inside, when he's napping in the cot, I tip toe about the hall. I don't flick light switches, I ease them backwards as if they were mini see-saws.

This may be pathetic, but I do it anyway.

That's so funny! I totally understand that as I used to do the same thing - for some strange reason, babies seem to sleep sounder when there's loads of noise going on around them. When I used to put my wee boy to bed I would creep back downstairs and watch TV with the subtitles on so I didn't wake him. Crazy but true!
Best wishes,
Hazel
